Welcome to
Cappellasantandrea
Cappellasantandrea was established in 1959 in San Gimignano as a sharecropping estate owned by Giovanni Leoncini. The estate has specialised in viticulture over the years and is currently run by Giovanni’s granddaughter, Flavia Del Seta, and her husband Francesco Galgani.
Flavia and Francesco decided to pursue the winemaking profession, attracted by the practical and creative beauty of making wine, under the guidance of oenologist Paolo Salvi. Thanks to cooperation with agronomist Ruggero Mazzilli, the company began its organic certification process in 2010.
Cappellasantandrea is a rural micro-world where old vines, donkeys, horses and goats, used to make compost for use in the soil, coexist in perfect synergy, creating a dimension of harmony and craftsmanship, typical of the farm’s sharecropper origins.
The wines are authentic and full of character, reflecting the personalities of Flavia and Francesco.
