di San Gimignano

Vernaccia di San Gimignano is the native grape variety par excellence, the great interpreter of San Gimignano’s viticulture since the Middle Ages. Over the last fifty years, thanks to the strong development of both viticultural and oenological research and the commitment of San Gimignano’s winegrowers who have invested resources, care and knowledge, Vernaccia di San Gimignano has succeeded in renewing itself, enhancing its uniqueness and producing a modern wine with a strong identity and character.

Vernaccia di San Gimignano, this ancient Tuscan grape variety, is the soul and substance of the wine of the same name.
Vernaccia di San Gimignano can be made from white grapes grown exclusively in the Municipality of San Gimignano, with a minimum of 85% up to 100% Vernaccia di San Gimignano grapes.

Besides being the world’s only expression of the rare, historic and native grape of the same name (Vernaccia di San Gimignano), Vernaccia di San Gimignano is also one of the very few Italian DOC white wines which, thanks to its undoubted ability to evolve majestically over time, can also be produced as a “Riserva”

Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG can be traced from the vineyard to the bottle.
The entire production process is fully controlled and documented.
Thanks to the numbered Government Label that uniquely identifies each bottle produced, consumers can discover the characteristics and provenance of Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG wine with a simple click.
