Welcome to
Macinatico
The Massi brothers arrived in Macinatico (a winegrowing area since 1300) in 1956. They left behind a tradition of working as sharecroppers in the Marche region and tried their luck by purchasing the Macinatico 2 farm, located in the municipality of San Gimignano.
Thanks to their hard work over the years, the vineyards and olive groves were expanded, and the old ruins situated on the neighbouring Macinatico 1 farm were purchased.
Today, Macinatico is an organic farm covering an area of 100 hectares, which produces Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Chianti and extra virgin olive oil, and offers tourist accommodation in the Macinatico 1 farmhouse.
