Palagetto
The estate was founded in 1984, with the first vineyards in Santa Chiara, and expanded in the years that followed with the purchase of other vineyards. Our family crest, as it is today, was created following these new acquisitions.
The estate currently extends over an area of more than 60 hectares, approximately 42 of which are occupied by vineyards, while 13 are dedicated to growing olives and the remainder are covered with woodland.
The vineyards, which are mainly trained using the Guyot and spurred cordon systems, are located throughout the San Gimignano area, to make the most of the different characteristics released to the wines by the soil. Our soils are mostly clayey with a good percentage of tufa.
We have our own oil mill for the cold extraction of extra virgin olive oil.
The company also offers hospitality to tourists in its Villa Palagetto and Villa Arnilù farmhouses.
