Campochiarenti
Azienda Agricola Campochiarenti is a family-run winery. The earliest historical records date back to the end of the 10th century, when the construction of the important church of San Nicola, still included among the farm’s historical buildings, was completed.
The farm covers about 50 hectares, 14 of which are cultivated as vineyards; all the grapes used for the production of Campochiarenti wines come from here. The vineyards vary in age from 30 to 40 years and their management encourages the production of high quality fruit at the expense of quantity, favouring low yields but high concentration and typicality of the grapes, which are reflected in the character of the wines.
No chemical herbicides are used, preserving the soil’s microbiome. The result is a healthier, more natural and more distinctive wine.
