The Fenzi family has been running Fattoria San Donato on the hills south of San Gimignano since 1932. Here they cultivate the soil following the dictates of precision organic farming, respecting the land and the people who work there.
Particularly favourable conditions in the vineyard combined with meticulous farming methods yield splendid grapes and high quality wines that reflect the richness and beauty of the land. In addition to Vernaccia, they produce Chianti Colli Senesi, Vermentino IGT, San Gimignano DOC Rosso (Merlot, Sangiovese and Syrah), Vinsanto, IGT Rosato, Bianco and Rosso, Spumante, Vermouth and Grappa.
The farm also produces extra virgin olive oil, saffron, vegetables, antique cereals and aromatic herbs.
The guesthouse, nestled among the green Tuscan hills, offers accommodation in refurbished medieval buildings and high-quality Tuscan food and wine experiences featuring products from the farm and the local area: dinners, lunches, tastings and cooking classes.
