Il Lebbio
Just a short distance from the “City of a Hundred Towers” where the hills lie on generous land, Azienda Agricola Il Lebbio is one of the wineries that devote daily labour and loving care to the production of wine.
The winery is named after a small plant that grows wild in the area. It boasts almost complete southerly exposure, known as “solatio”, which allows the grapes to ripen to perfection. The Niccolini family, with its many generations of experience, produces excellent quality wines using appropriate technology.
The vineyards are cultivated mainly with Vernaccia, Trebbiano, Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Malvasia, as well as Colombana, Colorino, Ciliegiolo, Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Montepulciano.
The winery has a cellar for vinifying its own grapes and underground rooms for ageing the wines in oak barrels and for bottle ageing.
We see being good custodians of this territory as a way to create the best possible wines from our vineyards.
