Welcome to
Panizzi
Giovanni Panizzi purchased Podere Santa Margherita, just outside the medieval walls of San Gimignano, in 1979. From the very first vintage, 1989, Panizzi’s label was unmistakable, featuring style and innovation, and these features are still present today. While remaining at the helm of the winery, in 2005 Giovanni Panizzi sold it to Simone Niccolai, with whom he shares the same vision in positioning Vernaccia di San Gimignano among the finest Italian white wines. Passion, the investment of major resources and improvement of the production model over the years have defined new and high quality standards. This development process has gradually led to innovative and exclusive results, not only with the estate’s Vernaccia di San Gimignano but also with its red grapes, such as Sangiovese and Pinot Noir, resulting in high-profile red wines that strongly identify with the San Gimignano territory and are united by the same philosophy of quality.
